Prism

We’re stuck in lands beneath a tree

Beneath our eyes we find the sea

An ocean view of every smile

Every God for miles and miles

We look there daily to renew….

The essence fire free in you

We are golden haired beloved creatures

And they have made us to be saviours

What are we without this light?

Enemies for every night

Every which way we fade>

With music as the noble slave

Darkness dares to show its face

<But we fight back with shimmering grace

Blockages help us nothing but

They wander helpless through the rut

A chaos born from endless calm

A reason to lay still your arm

What lies now beneath this storm?

Beneath the earth beneath the warm

What find you in your sacred heart

What lies there deep within your art?

Beings brought from magic’s core

What have we done to live this lore

Live it, life, and find the urn

To [place your soul within]

To burn

Energies creep and clear themselves

They are what we become in hell

A place that does not live

A place within, we singe, we build

A land of peace and plenty love

This land is ours

We roam above

What Are We Now

What is it that keeps us here?
A force unseen
Gravity, no
Is it the grip of life
The unshakeable dance of the clouds up there
The spirits below
Are we here, living

Or do we dream eternal

As we move around this place, this face
Do we shake the ground
The earth
Does it know we touch the surface
Of its grace
Its weary face

Are we one with this world
Should we be
Should they feel us, like we feel them
The spirits, the creatures of lore
What do we know of them
They have a bond with us
And we are unknowing

Perhaps they hold the key to all
They have lived before us
They will live after we are lost
And they walk with us now
They are no doubt a binding force
We share this sphere with them

Do we not

If they are the key
We are the locks that close
That open
Every now and then
Our minds fragile and afraid
To know when to learn
When to find out

We are the locks
The metal link between ourselves and everything
We keep ourselves grounded
Earthly coils bonded
What can it be
The feeling true

A force that connects us
That connects me to you
What moves us into place
So that we may feel
Each other again
Are we even real
do we understand all that moves within
All that moves us here
There

And here again

To and fro we linger still
Up and down until we see
All that was and will ever be
Music to the ears of God
To the hands of spirits
Odd
We are that which has no truth
We are the force

That holds the root

Moonsong

Whisper to me of your time
That I may understand what i
Could not, cannot know in truth
We are but mortal, vacant
We are so crude

Knowing is but half the war
a fight for such a beauty score
A war of numbers, not in mind
we mark ourselves in painted light
We paint ourselves into the night

Solemnly we bow to them
The entities that cry within
they give us peace when we are
Fire
They are what we are
We are desire

try again to know what moves
What lies within?
The trees we prove
To them we are but lowly dust
The future fuel
we are the trust

Slowly must we back away
in order to let go of day
into the night we fight with slaves
To the slaves within
We are the grave

Under moonlight do we move
Breathless and in truth
you prove
To me and mine that you are
Light
A purity
we cannot lose

sing to me o evergreen
Lend me energy to free
myself and many of the bow
A moonsong i
we need to know

that which I may never know
A trembling time for them to grow
within they suffer helplessly
We must be true
We are born free
